Samantha Brick is a British writer, producer and freelance journalist. In 2012 Brick published an article on the ''Daily Mail'' website titled There are Downsides to Looking This Pretty': Why Women Hate Me for Being Beautiful''. The perception of her arrogance caused the article to go viral on social media websites and Brick trended globally on Twitter. The article got 1.5 million hits on the newspaper's website and nearly 5,000 readers left comments, many of which were negative. Brick appeared on RTÉ's chat show, ''The Late Late Show'' on Friday 13 April 2012.
